The actual route of The Lincoln Highway thru Omaha was across the old Douglas St. bridge from Broadway in Council Bluffs,Iowa... West on Douglas St. to 24th St...South on 24th St. to Farnam St... West past The last original Hupmobile dealership...Various Churches... Past the destroyed Turner Park ( destroyed by mutual of omaha...ALL the trees destroyed and half the park gone )Mutual of Omaha also destroyed the original Studebaker dealership with the beautiful curved pink granite facade... Past McFoster's Restaurant (originally a White Rose Petrol Station)...to 40th St...North on 40th St to Dodge St... Saddle Creek and Dodge...John Sutter's Mill (approx 1840's...8x10 timbers cut with a Ten foot saw blade and waterwheel power) The oldest building on The Lincoln Highway... Saddlecreek Bridge and matching underpass by Dundee School (a designated National Historic Landmark) The facade is made up of original curbstones from the 1850's... Three original garages at 46th ...two still in operation with historic cars...Cecil's at 50th and Lincoln Way (Dodge St.) was Long's Grill in the 1930's... West to 78th...site of Tower Motor Park and Indian Hills Campgrounds...North on 78th to (formerly) Peony Park and the peony farm next door... west on west dodge road...short jaunt south around the hill at 90th then on to Elkhorn...There are no markings on dodge at 180th to turn north to a three mile stretch of original brick roadway...
