In "Money and Banking, Banking II," published by the American Banking Institute in 1931, I read:
"Contrary to the statements of many authors, the act of 1900 did not place our country on the single gold standard. Our monetary system is on a gold basis having the gold dollar as our standard of value, but the limping standard still remains. If we were to remove the legal tender powers of the silver dolar, our country would then have the single gold standard."
So, any objections to me adding this to page here?
