My understanding of the song implies using lime on opium to get morphine. I think that limehouse district of London is parochial and incorrect. I first heard the song 60 years ago. Think of images of Chinese with long pipes getting stoned while others were on rough wooden beds all blissed out. Exchrownmech (talk) 03:21, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
