cleanup tag

[edit]

I have added a cleanup tag to this article, especially pertaining to the second paragraph which is very hard to follow because it looks just like a very long run-on sentence with almost no formatting and wikilinks and it looks to be filled with a lot of POV and some kind of history on the structure of dance music although I am not sure exaclty how this relates to Lime and their singles but nevertheless it's just one big muddled mess that is a long run-on sentence which I mentioned before and we all know that it is not good to have a run-on sentence in an encyclopedia so it should definitely be reformatted so that it doesn't drone on and on without really saying much about the subject of the article so anyway where was I, oh yes I remember, this article needs cleanup and I hope other people agree because run-on sentences are bad ok thanks. -- eo 00:18, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To appreciate Lime it's impossible to ignore the structure of dance records, it's got to be included somehow and my hope was and still is that someone can get a clue from my mess and take it where it needs to be. Sorry for any POV (subjective elements), but how can any art form avoid such description?- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Omnipaedista (talkcontribs) 17:13, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lime's influence on House music

[edit]

I have roughly introduced a subjective element regarding Lime's influence on House music. I trust it will be adjusted as necesarry. Ideally someone will find a reputable quote on the subject. Unfortunately the group's dismissal by the major critics continues. Dance music fans and DJ's know instantly the importance of this band. Please fellow fans, let's get Denis and Denyse their due! The horrible treatment of this group vis-a-vis online biographical information and due credit for influence has stirred something in me: I am guilty of love (to paraphrase Denis Lepage). Source has been provided for Denis Lepage selling his rights to royalties. I'm unfamiliar with Wiki formatting and more concerned with fleshing-out this page so corrections/edits are so much appreciated and sorry if I'm being sloppy. Lime had many hits worthy of thoughtful critique, please help with this area if you can, as developing the critique of "angel eyes" has both educated and exhausted me (and it really needs more trimming...). The word bassline should be removed after TR-808. TR-808 are electronic drums, not a bass. Thanks for pointing that out, I've fixed it. My initial writings were aiming at describing why Lime stands out in their field and in their time. I'm glad someone echoed my call to clean up my mess here, wish more dance-music junkies would lend thoughts and tighten up my writing a bit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.2.174.180 (talk) 04:04, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SORRY, CLEAN UP NEEDED HERE. THIS ARTICLE IS ANYTHING BUT OBJECTIVE, AND IS WHAT MAKES ME PUKE WHEN I THINK ABOUT WIKIPEDIA. NEEDS SOME SERIOUS EDITING, FOLKS! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.105.141.15 (talk) 02:00, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Years active?

[edit]

Lime was a Canadian synth music outfit...
Yet the infobox says that they are still active.
It's inconsistent but I do not know which is correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gentleman wiki (talkcontribs) 05:47, 8 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reinstated Information about Denis Lepage/Nini No Bless

[edit]

While removing information about the "other" group fronted by Joy Dorris, the user (Olivier Domilescu) also deleted information about Lime co-founder Denis Lepage coming out as transgender and recording as Nini No Bless. I have reinstated the part about Nini No Bless and updated the reference. I hope that the removal was an error and not someone inserting their personal opinion into a perfectly verifiable piece of information. Also, information about the various duos that toured as Lime during their active period should be included. Denyse Lepage was not wild about the idea of being replaced on record covers and on tours, but it did happen. I'm mulling over ways to present that information in a non-POV/verifiable way. I hope you realize you are showing a picture of imposters with your article about Lime. Lime was Denis Lepage and Denyse Lepage, who the hell are those scammers??? 74.58.20.21 (talk) 01:03, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
