Defining Librarian

[edit]

I question the statement that a librarian "may" hold a degree in librarianship. If one works in a library that does not make them a librarian. They may be doing the job of a librarian, but without the degree they are a paraprofessional After you receive a Master’s degree, then you are considered to be a librarian. Some users and the general public may not differentiate, but librarianship is professional position requiring a degree. 2600:6C67:667F:AC13:D515:9FFC:2ACA:16E (talk) 06:14, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
