Fatherland League?

[edit]

So was the Fatherland League just "reactionary" or were they "quasi-fascist"? Is "reactionary" just a euphemism here? -- Coelacan | talk 23:03, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hard to say, it certainly wasn't fascist, it was not radical, but the party was staunchly against democracy. Some of its members became infamous in the 30s and 40s, like R.W. Dahmen von Buchholz. But its chairman, professor De Jong was as far as I know not a fascist. Intangible 00:53, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting. Sounds like some people I've met, actually (staunchly against democracy). I was just curious why you had changed the wording away from quasi-fascist. Thanks for the clue. -- Coelacan | talk 03:42, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
