Grand National winners at 100-1

[edit]

The BBC reference cited correctly states that no winner has started at longer odds, but there have been four previous 100-1 winners, with Foinavon the most recent.--Bcp67 (talk) 20:29, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Which Bangor?

[edit]

I am suspicious that the Bangor where he sustained his head injury is wikilinked to the North Wales coastal town as I have not heard of it having a racecourse but there is a racecourse further inland at Bangor-on-Dee, near the English border, which is a well known National Hunt venue. The Guardian report used as citation only mentions the Bangor injury as a secondary headline without any detail of it in the report text.Cloptonson (talk) 08:30, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Cloptonson My mistake, I've linked it to Bangor-on-Dee racecourse now- that does seem like the correct place. Joseph2302 (talk) 08:38, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

English or British

[edit]

Wikipedia:Nationality of people from the United Kingdom says that either English or British is acceptable. None of the sources seem to use either, so I think we should keep it as English- as this was the original article decision, and no evidence to change it.
