Correction - Levon was born on April 26, 1940 not May 26, 1940

Do you have a source for this? Most Google sources (including IMDB) say May 26, 1942. -- Curps 20:16, 4 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Unsourced speculation

Unsourced speculation doesn't belong in Wikipedia. I can't believe any editor here would add the following line: "Elton John's 1971 song "Levon" may be a tribute to the name but the lyrics bear no relation to Helm." This is insane. There are thousands of people who have names like Levon-- or in Helm's case, "Lavon" would be proper.
