Ajaria Crisis

[edit]

The Ajarian crisis were deliberately set up by US to eradicate Russian influence in Georgia. It seems the current leader is of Jewish origin.Anyway,i have removed the term separatist leader for Asaln never propagated any rebellion though he had so many chances to play puppet and earn big money. It is also wrong to say he fled.He voulntarily resigned.--Yahoo 00:54, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Ajarian crisis was caused by Abashidze's autocratic rule and his defiance to the Georgian state. He did not voluntarily resigned but was ousted by a popular uprising. He had many chances to earn big money and he used them very successfully. Fortunately, his era is over and the region has turned into the most prosperous region of Georgia since then. As for Abashidze's religion, he has officially converted to Christianity, but he was equally hated by both Christian and Muslim communities of Ajaria.--Kober 07:42, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
