[edit]This [1] is rather dismissive of the Frick Galli and Morgan d'Avalos as being by Leoni. The Duke of Alva is not in the Royal Collection, I'm fairly sure (would not have been a PC purchase for George III; Philip was bad enough). I see the Frick now attribute the Galli to Brandani, so have removed.Johnbod 02:46, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
- Good edits! I'd read Middeldorf's 1975 rumination, but as he ended so inconclusively without offering an alternative, I left the old attribution in. I think a brief report on why the Frick bust is dropped from the Leoni list would be enlightening. (Federico Brandani, eh.) It's not easy to characterise the style of a work without being poked with the "POV" umbrella. --Wetman 07:44, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
