Leonard van Veldhoven (born July 7, 1947, in The Hague, Netherlands) is a Dutch architect, entrepreneur, and writer. In 1975, he founded his architecture firm Van Veldhoven Partners. In 1985, he expanded his career by founding the Bastion Hotels, a hotel chain that quickly grew to 32 locations within a decade.
By 1995, his interests shifted towards traveling and writing, and he published several books inspired by his journeys. Since 2005, he has been residing in Montolieu, a village in southern France, where he continues his work in architecture and literature.
