MILHIST assessment

[edit]

I have assessed this article as B-Class following the request at WP:MHAR. However, if you aim to take this article up to GA you will need to list the article at WP:GAN for nomination and someone will come along and review the article against the GA criteria. The following points are pointers or guidelines of things that should be done to improve the article if it is heading for GA:

  • The lead requires an expansion to a good paragraph or two, briefly summarising the contents of the article.
  • The infobox is way to heavily cited. All of the points mentioned in the infobox should already be covered and cited in the prose, so the only thing you may want to cite in the infobox now is his nicknames.
  • I would replace the Find A Grave website, as I doubt it would satisfy WP:RS.
  • The prose could do with a little more detail, such as what sports he participated in.
  • You could probably combine the MoH citation section, and legacy section.
