I think Leon Schlesinger's good things were making "Looney Tunes" and "Merrie Melodies" better than Disney cartoons in the 1930s and 1940s. I think what makes it a bad thing is that he died. That's too bad because I honestly liked his productions.Andrew Hessner (talk) 02:06, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Was there any reason Schlesinger had his directors billed as "supervisor" in the opening credits of his pictures? Was it to keep them humble, or just an eccentricity of the man? --The_Iconoclast (talk) 05:29, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Schlesinger wanted more credit for his productions. After a c.1943 lockout at the studio, he finally gave "direction" credit replacing "supervision.' Steelbeard1 (talk) 11:22, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Why did Leon Schlesinger sell Leon Schlesinger Productions? Was it because of Looney Tunes becoming more successful than Disney's cartoons? Was it because of creative differences of his employees & the executives of Warner Brothers? Was it because he wanted retire since he was old enough?
