Re:Prod

I've removed the prod template from the article after having added significantly to it.Tiamut 17:21, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jordan or West Bank?

[edit]

Does she come from Jordan, West Bank ...or both? Now it is sourced that she was born in Jordan...However, if you listen to the video interview, it is clearly stated that she comes from the West Bank. This sounds contradictory, but of course, if she was born before 1967 (which is not unlikely: she took her MA in 1990).. then she could have been born in what was then Jordan, but became the West Bank. If so, it should be noted (if we only can find a source!) -Huldra 18:19, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If only we could find out the name of the town, it would help to settle the matter more definitively. For now, we can add a footnote about the information in the video source. Tiamut 01:10, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why don't you just ask her? She's publicly listed... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.137.76.8 (talk) 01:30, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism-section

[edit]

To Tiamut (and others); doesn´t the critisism section take up too much space at the moment? The writer, Gilead Ini, seem to be a M.A. but with exactly 0 hits in Google scholar. (Lots of hits under Hasbara, etc., though.)

.........and in his argument against her Le Monde Diplomatique article, he commit a classic "trick": he argues against something she didn´t say. (See also: PLO#Ten Point Program )

.......at least we should add that it is the not-so-very-notable Gilead Ini who has written it. Huldra 00:57, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Huldra. Yes it does take up too much space. I'm trying to find a free copy of a review of her work, but these scholarly journals are all pay-per-view. I'll try to come up with something more soon. Add whatever you need to about Gilead to contextualize his views. Tiamut 01:08, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I´ll just add the name now, I think (too tired to do anything else ;-)) Good-night! Huldra 01:19, 12 September 2007 (UTC) (and Tiamut; take a look at this: [1])[reply]

The reference to her "preconceived notion" that Jerusalem should be shared is completely irrelevant, and as it is on the article, ripped out of context. The criticism is not of her notion, it's of the fact that MIT has her running a contest about Jerusalem while she holds that notion. I will erase that sentence again. Please think about what I note above and leave it off. Also, whoever insists on changing "pro-Israel media watchdog group" to "pro-Israel advocacy group" is inserting their own POV contrary to wikipedia guidelines. You already not "pro-Israel." That's enough, and is borderline POV though I figure it is accurate enough. But the organization describes itself as a media watchdog, not an advocacy group. The former is based on its published description, the latter is based on your POV. I'm changing it again. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.24.24.11 (talk) 13:28, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism section tagged. this is not a reliable source for biographical criticism. Boodlesthecat Meow? 20:26, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:BLP, I've removed this section absent any convincing evidence of it's notability. Boodlesthecat Meow? 15:35, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
