Separate page for the Local Government Area

[edit]

As per discussion at Talk:List of Sydney suburbs, I have created a separate page for the Municipality of Leichhardt, the Local Government Area. -- Ianblair23 10:25, 30 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

In the spirit of the above I'd suggest the paragraph setting out the history of Leichhardt Municipal Council could be truncated. Some of it is relevant as it relates to the suburb but other bits more relate to the expansion and truncation of the council. I assume this would be covered in the seperate LMC page? - Tigerman2005 (27/1/7)

Refrencing

[edit]

Unfortuantly I have had to add an unsourced tag to this article in accordance with Wikipedia policy. Hopefuly this problem will not remain topical for long; this article looks as though it could be developed in to a much stronger one, without too much trouble. Also, I have removed the stub tag as this article has already been ranked Start Class (an article cannot be both Start Class and Stub Class at the same time). Pronunciation

[edit]

How is it pronounced? Somehow I don't think it could be [ˈlaiçhɑʁt] as in German. Kelisi (talk) 07:14, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ceased Bus Transport Routes and Historical Legacy

[edit]

Hi, for legacy sake, I think it is useful to include the discontinued bus routes that passed through Leichhardt, M10, 444 etc, in the article, however I'm not sure what the best way to present this is. Perhaps history section? Or Leave them within the transport section as I have currently done? If there are other opinions about what should be done with routes that have ceased, any thoughts are much appreciated. Alternatively, it might be more useful to construct a stub about transport in leichhardt / inner-west and move the legacy routes over to there.
