Does the party exist anymore?

[edit]

If the party still exists, the lead sentence should say that it is, not was, a political party in Israel. If the party does not still exist, it should change present-tense verbs (seeks, proposes) to past tense verbs (sought, proposed). —Anomalocaris (talk) 06:50, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Difficult to say; rather than disappearing completely, some parties continue existing effectively on paper; in the past these parties have been resurrected and used as shells for creating new parties. @Ynhockey: does the CEC have an up-to-date list on its website of currently-registered parties? The CEC itself usually deals with the latest elections, so it doesn't list parties not directly running on its website, I think if we really want to know we need to look deeper at the law. In any case, these are the parties that ran for the 20th Knesset: http://www.bechirot20.gov.il/election/Candidates/Pages/default.aspx . It does not include the Lehem party, and Israel Twito does not appear on any of the lists (after skimming the smaller parties). —Ynhockey (Talk) 10:34, 24 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
