Burial
[edit]Lee Thompson Young is not buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery, as stated in this entry. There IS a "Lee E. Young" that is buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery, but the latter Young lived from 1905 - 1991, a very different individual than Lee Thompson Young, who is buried in his home state of South Carolina, in Lakewood Memory Gardens, York County, South Carolina. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MJKeller568 (talk • contribs) 19:34, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

The dates he played on Rizzoli and Isles at the beginning of the page is incorrect it should not exceed his death date. Prayhard411 (talk) 00:08, 16 December 2016 (UTC)
- Not done for now: Television and movie appearances are often posthumous, sometimes by quite an interval. If you're sure it's incorrect, please provide a reliable source and reopen this request. RivertorchFIREWATER 05:53, 16 December 2016 (UTC)

Please change the phrase “committed suicide” on this page to “died by suicide.” Per the AP Style Guide (and current practice in the field of psychology), “And we continue to say: Avoid using the phrase committed suicide. Alternate phrases include killed himself, took her own life or died by suicide. The verb commit with suicide can imply a criminal act.”

- Done. Wikipedia tends to favor blunt language, but also is glacial in its adoption of current language used in the professions. Don't get me started on disability-related labuage herein. Good luck with your studies! ----Dr.Margi ✉ 23:29, 29 January 2021 (UTC) (Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, UCLA)
- @Drmargi: it's my understanding that the status quo in wikipedia is that "committed suicide" is preferred but never required over "died by suicide". See this RFC and the prior discussions contained within. Given that, i'm not sure that these kind of edits are necessary. Volteer1 (talk) 05:01, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
- I think that's my understanding too: essentially, use whatever sounds most natural/the 'best', and with an emphasis on what the reliable sources say about it. The sources in this case use "committed suicide" instead of "died by suicide"; but I also don't think reverting this change is necessary (so I'm setting the edit request to answered).
