John Olsen's circumstances in becoming Premier
[edit]I place back an edit that was remove by Timeshift who said that the circumstances of John Olsen becoming Premier was unbalanced and irrelevant. I very much disagree on this.
From the article:
"Should the opposition win an election, the Leader of the Opposition will be nominated to become the Premier of South Australia."
Of all the Opposition Leaders who subsequently became Premier, Olsen did not become Premier by the usual route of an election victory but by the fact that his party was already in government when chosen to become Premier. This information about Olsen is more than relevant because the task of an Opposition Leader is to become Premier. The Shadow Treasurer (talk) 04:25, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
- So edit John Olsen to your hearts content. But it is unbalanced for this article. As your contribution is disputed, you are required to form consensus on talk rather than re-instate a disputed edit. Thanks. Timeshift (talk) 05:07, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
By reverting the article back to the way it was it gives the impression that the only Opposition Leaders who became Premiers are ones that won an election. That is definitely not the case with John Olsen. The fact that the task of an Opposition leader becoming Premier is not in dispute neither should that of my edit. Therefore I dispute your claim that my edit has made the article unbalanced. The Shadow Treasurer (talk) 06:22, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
- One of three paras on a single Premier is unbalanced. It is something to mention in his article, not this page in such length. Timeshift (talk) 07:12, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
