Synopsis

[edit]

What is the source for the synopsis? --Robert.Allen (talk) 16:52, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There isn't one: the basis was Grove padded out from other links and use of the libretto. Cg2p0B0u8m (talk) 18:47, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Costumes and roles display

[edit]

I realize that image display formatting is a somewhat subjective issue, depending on each editor's preferences, but it also depends on the viewer's device and window settings, so I uploaded an example of how it looks to me. The current setup doesn't seem very satisfactory. I hope we can improve it to everyone's satisfaction. --Robert.Allen (talk) 20:27, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Is it better now? How narrow is your screen, in pixels? And what browser did you use for that screenshot? Chrome on my phone shows the images as intended to the right of the roles table, by scaling those components as required. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 12:25, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I tried looking at it on a different computer, and I see now why you made the change you did. I think I prefer your previous version, despite the odd layout at some narrow window widths. I was using Safari. Not sure how many pixels wide it was. On my phone, I displayed it in the "Mobile view" mode rather than "Desktop", and all three costume pics were displayed before the table vertically in the previous version, which was fine as far as I am concerned, but in this version, they are split up by the table, two horizontal above and one below. With the tools we have available right now, I'm not sure we can make this any better, but I do think we should go back to your previous version with all three pics grouped together. --Robert.Allen (talk) 17:23, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
