Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it is an established institution and music venue (since 2003) and has played an integral role in the European and global communities of Gypsy Jazz, Gypsy Swing and Jazz Manouche and the continuation of the genres. It also plays a key part in the legacy of Django Reinhardt. In addition, it has been an important institution to the gypsy community and their culture which has been typically excluded and marginalized. It has been crucial to redefining their identity and cultural impact. Maxhorberry (talk) 22:09, 8 February 2015 (UTC)MaxHorberry[reply]

Or, in Wikipedia parlance, did anyone try a Google News search on the subject per WP:BEFORE? Speedy declined. @MelanieN: - fancy helping out on this one? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:43, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Johnny Depp

[edit]

The Yorkshire Evening Post says, verbatim "He ... has just performed live on August 28 and 29 at the world-famous London venue Le Quecumbar, where Johnny Depp visited before his character played Gipsy guitar music in the film, Chocolat." But how did Johnny Depp manage to do this if the venue didn't open until over two years after that film was released? Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:58, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
