Epic preamble

[edit]

There is simply too much information that should be placed within relevant sub-headings or removed altogether. It does not summarise this man; rather it attempts to explain a great deal of his most noted work in a superfluous way. As such:

well, his work is what he is known for, not the details of his personal life or his education. Presenting it is not the least "superfluous"--on the contrary, we need more of this in general in articles on academics, rather than the usual bare cv. But this article as it stands is over-promotional in presenting his views, but not discussing the criticism of them. Promotionalism is saying what he wants people to know; encyclopedic writing is what outsiders might want to know, which is every bit as much the reception of his ideas as his own arguments.
