Rename article to "Northern Irish law"
[edit]To fall in line with the likes of English law, Welsh law, and Scots law, this article should be renamed to Northern Irish law, with Northern Ireland law redirecting to the new title. — JivanP (talk) 00:24, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
- I think the current title (Law of Northern Ireland) is more appropriate, because it refers to the law that "applies" in Northern Ireland, rather than law "made" in Northern Ireland. The Law of Northern Ireland is made up of a mixture of law passed in Northern Ireland (Northern Irish law), Ireland (pre-1922) (Irish Law), London (UK law) and Brussels (EU law).5.179.64.117 (talk) 10:58, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]I propose merging Northern Ireland legislation into Law of Northern Ireland. The former doesn't appear to have enough material to justify an article of its own, and is merely a part of the latter. 212.129.81.72 (talk) 20:30, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
