did he have to give up run for House seat in 1962 because of run for Senate seat?

[edit]

I find: "He was not a candidate for renomination in 1962 to the Eighty-eighth Congress, but was an unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the United States Senate." He lost bid for Republican NOMINATION for U.S. Senate (the Republican nominee went on to lose to Ted Kennedy in the race for then-President John Kennedy's unexpired term), and did he have to give up run for U.S. House then? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.20 (talk) 17:52, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

World War I service

[edit]

Although Curtis served in the United States Navy during the World War I era, no reliable sources found as of yet state that he served overseas in a war zone during the war. From the sources reviewed, it appears that his service was all stateside. Accordingly, Category:American military personnel of World War I was not added to the article. Semper Fi!
