[edit]What's with this distinction between "Publications" and "References"? Bridgman doesn't seem to have written the two works in the Publications section, so as far as I can tell, the distinction is worthless- they are all references for her life. --maru (talk) contribs 22:21, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
- You're right. I merged the two sections. ntennis 17:03, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Blindfold
[edit]Why Laura Bridgman was always blindfolded? Did her eyes look that terrible?
- It was commonplace in the 19th century to have people with blindness wear dark glasses—Preceding unsigned comment added by User:165.83.159.134 (talk • contribs) 15:23, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- The article also mentions that "the loss of her eye-balls occasioned some deformity," so it sounds like they were removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Clsn (talk • contribs) 04:53, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
