Confirm the gazetted date

[edit]

I apologize in advance that English is not my first language, and I may make some confusing mistakes. I noticed two date of the gazetted as national monuments when I translated this article from English to Japanese. The article cited website that archived Infopedia describe gazetted on 6 July 1973. But National Archives of Singapore and some books (e.g.[1],[2]) describe the date on 28 June 1973. I would like to know which date is correct. --Junknote (talk) 04:59, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It is possible that the difference may be due to when it was announced or published and when it was actually registered, for example here [3], it cites Government Gazette Subsidiary Legislation Supplement dated 6 July 1973, but perhaps it may have been registered earlier. If there is conflict, I'd use an earlier date which may be the actual registration date rather than the announcement date, so use 28 June 1973. I'll adjust the date. Thank you very much for uncomplicated explanation and quick response. I can understand now. --Junknote (talk) 09:21, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
