Editing Plans

[edit]

I am planning on making some changes to the article in the coming weeks. First, I plan on rewriting the lead section to offer a more clear definition and an easy-to-understand overview of the rest of the topic/article. Each section seems to be lacking in content so I intend to add more content to each section and clean up the citations on this article to make sure they are all reliable sources that are properly cited. Feel free to look at my annotated bibliography for more information on my sources. The article seems to be largely focused on Mexican-American or Chicano contributions to Latino children's literature so I will be adding more information about other Latino authors and books to give this article more balanced coverage. Additionally, I will fix any grammatical errors/sentence structures that do not make sense. I hope to bring this article more closely in line with Wikipedia criteria for a higher rated article. SAbundis, Latino Children's Literature

[edit]

The article lacks in content. Not sure if that's the proper definition to Latino Children's literature. The articles structure is good, however is missing proper references, as well as verrified citations. To improve this article, add more mention to Latino children's literature, such as authors and titles, or when this genre was recognized. By drafting these additions and adding verified sources, you should be able to bring the "stub" class of the article, into something higher with more content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sjabundis (talkcontribs) 02:36, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, I also think this article lacks scope beyond Mexican-American experiences. Abbytizo (talk) 00:54, 23 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

— Assignment last updated by AIG3624 (talk) 00:40, 21 November 2023 (UTC) I am planning on making a few changes to this article within the next coming weeks. First, I plan on reworking the history section to eliminate unsourced material and clean up the existing information. I also will be retitling the themes section so that it is more accurate to the information included within. Along these same lines, I plan on adding more information to the writing style and theme sections as they are lacking. I will also be adding a paragraph to the history section of the different awards offered to authors/illustrators within this genre. In addition, I will be adding more authors and books to the example sections in order to diversify the literary works. This will also bring the article closer to Wikipedia's recommendations for articles about books. Please see my annotated bibliography in the bibliography sandbox on the Wikipedia dashboard. AIG3624 (talk) 23:14, 26 November 2023 (UTC)Andrea Gasca 18:12, 26 November 2023[reply]
