Where did you get that "The percentage of Christians among the population of Latakia is about 45% - i.e. that it is especially high in comparison to most of the other regions in Syria." I've removed it till we find a trusted source for such a percent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.153.128.13 (talk) 14:09, 28 December 2007 (UTC) Lataki Governorate throughout the literature is thaditionaly placed as 1 of the 2 Allawite-majority governorates...I can't see strong evidence to change that.A 'letter' from someone is by no mean a sufficient condition for such a serious change
