Album title
[edit]Unless I'm reading it wrong, the album title is clearly Last Recording, not Last Recordings. Where does the s come from? 213.186.254.196 (talk) 14:22, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
Agreed...and I would like to change it, but I couldn't figure out how to change the pagename. I changed the other areas of the page that was titled "Last Recordings." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Educated (talk • contribs) 06:51, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
I've done it ... there's a dropdown tab next to "Edit" and "View History" called "More", which turns out to have only one further tool: "Move"
just enter the new pagename, and the reason why, and it clones a new page, leaving behind a redirect page
we should correct all references from other pages to the updated pagename
does anybody know when the album was retitled? Discogs shows the first release titled Last Recording as 1988, implying it was called Billie Holiday for thirty years (but Discogs has lots of errors too) ... if someone knows for sure, this info could be added to the text J Edward Malone (talk) 15:34, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
Album Title surely should be the original release - Billie Holiday with Ray Ellis and his Orchestra
[edit]I find it odd that the album title here is defaulted to the later posthumous release of Last Recording, when the album was released in her lifetime as Billie Holiday [with] Ray Ellis and his Orchestra. For example, digital platforms list the album under the original title; Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Billie-Holiday-Ray-Ellis-Orchestra/dp/B086Z7RB4W), Spotify (https://open.spotify.com/album/780YbUDX22mHli9KRZZwKu), High Res Audio (https://www.highresaudio.com/en/album/view/ouis4j/billie-holiday-ray-ellis-and-his-orchestra-billie-holiday-with-ray-ellis-and-his-orchestra-remastered) -Surely the more appropriate title of the article should be Billie Holiday with Ray Ellis and his Orchestra or Ray Ellis and his Orchestra, with the original cover art at the top and the re-release underneath?
