Ship/submarine name

Is the ship named Silvanus or Sylvanus? Sylvanus is the name of a Greek god and the ship did have some Greek lettering on it.

On the US DVD release, the name is written in English as "Silvana", and the English dub pronounces it as Silvana. There are scenes in the show itself which have the name "Silverna". The Greek lettering is actually English written in the Greek alphabet - epsilon-alpha-sigma-tau for east, for example. --OmegaPaladin 10:31, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

The insignia patch from the Last Exile convention in Tokyo says that the ship's name is "Silvana". I believe the picture set from the con was on DVD 6 or 7. --Keno 03:43, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
So it is "Silvana" with a single "n"? I've modified the article to replace all the "Silvanna"s, but I'm not sure it is correct. -- Gwern (contribs) 00:11, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
I think your right, as long as its uniform Cpuwhiz11 01:10, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Just a note to OmegaPaladin that not all the scenes are in english with greek lettering. If you look at the diagram of the Irbanis that Tatiana shows to the crew of the Silvana before their battle:[1], all the text is in actual greek. For example, the front of the ship is labeled Κριός which is greek for "ram". I'm willing to bet that most of the floating text in the Guild ship that Dio starts out in is greek as well.Ziiv 01:24, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

English or Japanese?

This may seem obvious to some, but shall we use the defined English names, or the phonetic Japanese? eg. Disith/Dysis —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nukleon (talkcontribs)

I can't seem to find the MoS article for it, but I believe that an available English-version name goes first and then one can also mention the original Japanese name. -- Ned Scott 01:50, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
That's how I remember it as well, since it is commercially released in America, we go with the commercial names (such as for the characters, vessels, series name, etc.) -- Gwern (contribs) 01:27, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Alex and Maestro

I don't think Alex actually strangles Delphine, I'm pretty sure that sound you hear in the anime is him breaking her neck, which makes sense, he's a pretty strong guy and her neck is pretty slender... --GreatMizuti 12:53, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

I think you're right, and he does snap her neck... while strangling her. I think the way that Alex went about doing it falls within the scope of strangulation. --Miss Ethereal 18:51, 22 April 2006 (UTC)

I'll write it later if you think that this is to put here. --Anon1

Old Dunya biography

Note I found a biography of Dunya, but it had been removed. Granted she is not exactly a main character but she belongs somewhere on the page. Thoughts? Cpuwhiz11 15:49, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

I think there should be a biography on Dunya. If there's one for Vincent, there should be one for Dunya. Maybe there should be a minor characters section. Should there be a Plot section as well? I was surprised when there was no explanation of what Exile is, history of the nations, etc. --Adolon 02:10, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Thirded. -- Gwern (contribs) 01:27, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Proposal

Here is what I propose, we remove the "Major characters" title and simply call it "Characters", then we put in all the minor characters (Dunya, Godwin, Gale, Marius, and others ) with pictures (I will try to get some), after that we do a plot section (I will start it tomorrow as I am a big fan of Last Exile) and then top it off with a background section. It sounds lofty, but I think we can do it. Also what are your thoughts on my title renaming. Cpuwhiz11 03:09, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

I agree with everything wholeheartedly. I tried my best to find pictures of the characters but the sizes of the pictures are different and conflict with the other pictures. --Adolon 04:01, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
I started on the plot, but the work is slow so I will do a few a day. --Cpuwhiz11 16:23, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
I changed "Major characters" title to "Characters" and put in the old Dunya bio, which I actually did a while ago, but under an IP address. --Cpuwhiz11 16:51, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
OK, I am almost done with the plot bit. I did see the message on the main page and even though I prefer in-universe I will attempt to do it out-of-universe. I would like others help though so if you can add anything please do. Finally can we request this article to be re-rated somehow ? I think it deserves a notch up for the plot section.

--Cpuwhiz11 00:52, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

OK, I finished the plot section. What do you all think about the work I did, be honest and brutal. --Cpuwhiz11 00:02, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
It's pretty good. I like it. Grammar needs improvement, but that goes for just about everything on Wikipedia. --maru (talk) contribs 01:34, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Lucciola's death

"It is unclear whether he believed that she would help Dio, or whether he knew that he couldn't win against her and accepted his final fate."  : At some moment Lucciola states that Dio and Delphine are everything to him. Thus fighting Delphine was not an option. He sacrifised himself hoping that she would consider his last wish and grant Dio freedom. Olmer 23:21, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

Luciola is male. --212.139.218.8 23:40, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
That's right. The "She"s are refering to Delphine. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ziiv (talkcontribs) 18:57, 18 February 2007 (UTC).

It seemed to me that Lucciola and his kind were bred from birth to be The Guilds servant class, probably through the use of some sort of bio-engineering.It's possible that he was programmed somehow to be incapable of harming a high ranking Guild member.Wentt2125 07:02, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Plot summary needs fixing.

The article "plot summary" isn't a summary at all it is like going through every single episode meticulously. I suggest a total re-write, for a more condensed version.

I would oppose a rewrite as I prefer the summary the way it is, as it helps explain a complex anime better then a condensed summary would. This having been said is their a Wikipedia guideline to follow in relation to this? Cpuwhiz11 11:28, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
Ditto. Any rewrite should focus on improving its quality, not on removing it - it's still a summary if it is shorter than the original. --Gwern (contribs) 15:10, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

I think that this article needs somebody to take a weed-whacker to it. A Summary should be just that a Summary, something to tell readers the rough gist of the story, not explain it in detail. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.233.85.90 (talkcontribs)

I once more oppose "a striping down" of the plot summary, as I feel it is important to helping people to understand the complex story. Cpuwhiz11 00:07, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
If I want to understand the "complex story," I'll BUY THE SERIES. Seriously, this is like a crazed fansite. A plot summery shouldn't be a step-by-step walkthrough of the entire thing. In my case, I wanted to find out more about it (recommendation) but this is just too detailed. I wanted something to catch my interest, not make me think "oh, I guess I won't rent it after all. I can just read THE ENTIRE FREAKIN' STORY ON WIKIPEDIA." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.111.16.108 (talkcontribs)
I agree that the plot section is much to large. If you look at other anime articles such as Gundam Wing, Kanon or Fate/stay night's plot section, it is a very condensed version of the story. None of those pages contains a step-by-step walkthrough of the entire series.
- Teknomunk 22:53, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
The plot summary is absolutely ridiculous, you might as well adapt the entire thing into a novel while you're at it. A plot summary should be small enough to fit within a section of the Main Article. There is no need to make something this big. The summary should not meticulously recount every detail from start to finish in an ordered fashion, but rather focus on the main idea of the story. You can start by saying what is revealed at the very end of the anime - that the story takes place on the dual-planetary (or whatever you want to call it) world of Prester that had been colonized by people from earth several hundred years ago. The summary is going to have a spoiler warning no matter how you write it, and it seems to me that putting that in the beginning is the easiest way to explain it.
Additionally, Cpuwhiz11, you may want to read WP:Anime's guidelines about writing a plot summary, which I'll place here as a direct quote. "Plot: This should comprise a succinct description of the plot and major subplots, but please avoid excessive details of twists and turns in the story. Differences between the original versions and adaptations (whether Japanese or international) often fall within the scope of this section, usually warranting at most a distinct subsection."
- (Xaphon 20:45, 11 May 2007 (UTC))
Thank you for pointing this, I really should get around to reading the whole thing sometime. Now having said that, if that is the policy then we should carry it out. Although I am not exactly sure how to go about it. Maybe just right about their search for the Mysterion? Thoughts and ideas everyone? One final note for the record I still prefer the long and detailed summary. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Cpuwhiz11 (talkcontribs) 22:52, 11 May 2007 (UTC).
The detailed plot summary was well organized and well written, so I don't blame you for preferring it, it just doesn't fit the guidelines. As for the new one, I may actually write one if I have time in the next few days, and if you don't beat me to it. I'm thinking I'll briefly describe the history of Prester and the colonists, describe the war between Anatoray and Disith, then explain how Claus and Lavie get brought into the rebellion against the Guild. Those are my ideas for now. Check back in a few days to see if I've written something, or go ahead and do it yourself.

Contradicting

Here's a short sentence taken from Mullin's description: "The operation ends with Mullin taking the unit back, but being gravely wounded in the process, believed dead. The epilogue shows that he survived to be with Dunya and live on a farm alongside Dunya's siblings and some friends from the Silvana."

Next is from Dunya's: "No more reference is made to Dunya until the last episode where she is seen getting the message Lavie and Claus' fathers were supposed to have delivered over their new grave. She is then seen in the closing scene in a motherly fashion and appears to have married Mullin though this is unconfirmed."

Is it just me or does the article seem to contradict itself? I'm going to change it a bit. Also, in the trivia section it says "Yuris" but over in the Alex section it says "Euris". Going to correct it again.

Nice catches and may I be the first to say, good sleuthing. Cpuwhiz11 00:14, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

I don't see any contradiction. What are you talking about? After Mullin captures the unit, Dunya walks in and sees his body covered in blood and slumped over one of the levers, then leaves and cries. The next time she's shown she's accepting Claus and Lavie's message tube. Then after that she's shown on the farm with everyone else including Mullin, and according to an unconfirmed "reference" in the bottom of the page, the child Mullin is shown carrying is Dunya's brother. Not all the text is English

This page got me so confused. I've been trying for the last few days to figure out what the heck all the greek writing means, thinking it was just english written with greek letters like this page said it was, only to find out that alot of it is actually greek. There are some things that are english (such as the directions on the compases in the vanships) but I'm willing to bet that most of the text is greek.

Here's an example from episode 12:[2]

All the text in that diagram is greek. For example, the front of the ship is labled "Κριός" (Krios) which translates to "Ram" according to babelfish.Ziiv 10:27, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

I was confused about the greek to but if you want some translations this site has a lot of them. [3] Cpuwhiz11 01:27, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Downgrade

I've downgraded this article's quality rating because, at present, it's basically just a 62kb plot summary. It needs to have the episode summaries split into a sub-article at the very least, and to generally be brought into rough compliance with the guidelines at WP:ANIME. No hard feelings, I hope. --tjstrf talk 09:18, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Plot Summary section moved to Last Exile Plot, and a link has been provided. - Mintchocolatebear 01:59, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
We do need something to fill the blank space though, its rather odd to have a section devoted to linking to another article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sir LoseALot (talkcontribs) 23:15, 23 January 2007 (UTC).

Luft?

According to the trivia section: episode 2 'Luft Vanship' is not based on a chess term. But a search on wikipedia reveals that: "Luft, the German word for "air" (sometimes also "space" or "breath"), is used by some chess writers and commentators to denote a space left by a pawn move into which a castled king may move, especially such a space made with the intention of avoiding a back-rank mate. A move leaving such a space is often said to "give the king some luft"." I don't know how it applies to the episode, since its been a while since i've actually watched last exile, so i'm hesitant to change it, but Luft is apparently a chess term. Sir LoseALot 22:51, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

I've updated the "Episode list" and "Trivia" sections. :-) Mintchocolatebear 22:55, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Greek

Removing the Last Exile greek name, if there is no objection i shall do so --Sir LoseALot 21:30, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

I don't have an issue with removing the Greek names, as only a few actually appear on screen during the series. However, let's leave them in until someone else agrees. If nobody responds in 7 days, then it should be assumed that nobody has a serious problem with the removal. Mintchocolatebear 23:05, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Mysterion

In the english dub, the last mysterion states:

Claus: What lies beyond the furthest reaches of memory? Alvis: The place where all were born and to where all will return: A Blue Star.

Although based on the subtitles, I figure that the literal translation from the japanese would be "World". I'm not sure that this fact is particularly noteworthy. Dr Aaron 11:42, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

I think it would be better to follow the dub on this since this is the english wikipedia not the japanease wikipedia.
no, dubs are sometimes fitted to mouth movements and available time rather than what is actually being said, so it should be the subtitles —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.196.107.246 (talk) 19:31, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Plot summary article up for deletion

Just a note. The article Last Exile Plot is up for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Last Exile Plot. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 07:46, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Rather than deleting, I suggest that the information be merged into a List of Last Exile episodes page. Such pages exist for many other anime series. Such a page could have sufficient "real world" info on release dates etc. to be within the bounds of WP:NOT.
Unfortunately, I don't have the time to sit down & make such a page. But it would be a real shame if the Last Exile Plot was deleted before the information could be transferred somewhere else. Dr Aaron 10:57, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
No fear, I copied all of the plot summery to a word document. I originally just wanted to save all that work, but now that you mention it an episode list would be a good idea. I don't know who would do it, but all the work is safe with me. Cpuwhiz11 21:34, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

The Last Exile Plot Summary has been moved to -> Last Exile Plot Summary to reduce the size of the Last Exile page. If someone would like to clean that article up, that would be much appreciated. Mintchocolatebear 19:42, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Plot Section

Splitting off the plot section is not a legitimate method of dealing with an overly long and overly detail plot. Instead, it should be rewritten to make it more concise and hitting only the highlights of the series. Therefore, I have reverted the split. --Farix (Talk) 21:16, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Étude

Along similar lines to the "Luft?" proposal, the term "étude" is also related to chess. It literally means "a study", and although it was first used as a musical term (meaning "a short musical composition designed to provide practice in a particular technical skill in the performance of a solo instrument."). An étude in chess is an analogous term, meaning usually a board position specifically engineered to teach players to utilize a specific kind of strategy or game mechanic in order to win. In accordance with this, I changed the list of episodes not named by chess terms. DrChengele 04:44, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

I figured it was, but I couldn't find any sources to confirm it so I left it out Ziiv 03:22, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

Since I am unable to find any sources that talk about Étude as a chess term, i am changing it back. Could you provide a source that talks about Étude as a chess term? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sir LoseALot (talkcontribs) 03:05, 1 February 2007 (UTC).
Pages that use Etude in reference to chess [4] [5] [6] [7]. Here's one looks a bit more notable [8]. This one explains what an etude is, however, it doesn't look that notable. [9] Is this enough or do we still need a more reliable source? Ziiv 17:44, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
I wasn't aware my word for it wasn't enough :) . It is not really an official term, more a stylization. But still, it is a term used to describe short chess studies meant to educate. Seen in context of other episodes' titles, it is reasonable to assume they meant it as an allusion to chess and not, for example, to a musical piece. By the way, I just googled for "etude chess" and got 300000 results. Should be enough to convince anyone the term is used in connection to chess. (Although to be honest, chess sonata and chess symphony searches also produced outrageous numbers of results). Here's the first one that popped out: [10]. It has Chess Etudes in its title and doesn't even try to explain what they are. In my opinion that implies that chess players are fairly familiar with the term, no? DrChengele 05:36, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
The title makes it seem as though the study is of Lavie... although searching chess etudes seems to pull up a large number of relevant results so it is used as a chess term i guess —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sir LoseALot (talkcontribs) 04:50, 15 February 2007 (UTC).
That's because the show uses a running metaphor of the story as being chess game with the characters as pieces. Lucciola and Dio are rooks, Delphine is a queen, etc...Ziiv 06:13, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Thats true, however, all the examples of etudes in chess, that i've found, give you a scenario and want you to find what you want to do in the future. If i recall correctly Etude Lavie is a flashback episode detailing Lavie and Clause's past.
Chess studies isolate a certain aspect of the game and analyze it to shed new light on how certain pieces interact. Since the players are symbolized by chess pieces, this title makes sense from that point of view. The episode isolates Claus and Lavie from the rest of the cast and studies them to see what motivated them to become Vanship pilots. This study comes at a time in the plot when Claus's motivation for flying is expanding.66.45.155.136 (talk) 02:24, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Character articles to list

I've tagged all of the character articles as needing to be merged into a single List of Last Exile characters. I'm proposing merges for the other character articles, preferable into a list called List of Last Exile characters per WP:MOS-AM. None of them are notable to merit their own articles. --Kraftlos (talk) 06:49, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Sounds like a good idea as long as all the information remains intact. Cpuwhiz11 (talk) 21:16, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
The only information that should remain intact is that which is nontrivial and properly sourced. Otherwise, it should (and hopefully will) be cut. —Dinoguy1000 21:48, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Okies, I'll merge it tomorrow if there are no objections. --Kraftlos (talk) 01:14, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
If you're going to base your decisions on "notability", why bother even making an article at all? About anything? The fans actually want to know this information, you know. Yes, the reason people come to Wikipedia is because it is a well-organized and fairly reliable source of information. WP:Notability is the guiding principle in whether something should be on Wikipedia. In this case this information, for the most part, is notable enough to remain on Wikipedia, but it needs to conform to WP:MOS-AM. This is for the best organizationally. --Kraftlos (talk) 09:20, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Fictional

Is it necessary in an article about an obviously fictional television series to repeatedly clarify that each element in said series is 'fictional'? This article keeps reminding the reader that the world, airships and other fantastical elements are fictional. The word is used over and over. Frankly anybody who mistook the television show for non-fiction probably lacks the intelligence to use the Internet, let alone read. Coldangel (talk) 04:07, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Basically, yes. It is part of ensuring everything is written from an out-of-universe perspective, and part of Wikipedia's general editing guidelines and philosophies. The same is done in character articles, which starts out noting that X if a fictional character in series Y.-- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 04:24, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Paquet's opinion is rather his own view about Last Exile instead of facts about the story of Last Exile. Well Written

As far as I can tell, this article is well written. I don't see any mistakes on the page and the copy looks clean.

Factually accurate and verifiable

I was pleased to see that everything in this article is referenced using foot notes. Also a substantial portion of the content in this article references reliable third-party sources. Along with references notes are provided.

Broad in its coverage

The sections vary slightly with Anime and Manga Manual of Style, but every required section is present in the article. There are no omissions as far as I can tell.

Neutral

No POV issues.

Stable

It appears the bulk of the work has been performed by Arsonal over the last few months. There have been no major conflicts or edit wars to speak of.

Illustrated by images

The article is appropriately illustrated with images directly relevant to the commentary. All images are tagged with proper rationale.

Conclusion

This article appears to meet all Good Article criteria. Good job and keep up the good work!

Yesterday I noticed that this article did not include a link to "Last Exile" on Hulu - which is, I believe, a relevant encyclopedic link for as long as the series remains available there - and I included it in the External Links section. It was removed by XLinkBot, which left a message stating that this link might conflict with Wikipedia guidelines governing external links on my Talk page.

While I still believe that this link is relevant to the article, I wish to garner input from fellow users prior to reverting the article back to my revision.

My reasons for inclusion of this link:

  • This link provides free, legal access to Last Exile to anyone capable of using Hulu.
  • This allows Wikipedia users to experience the material firsthand.

Thoughts?

I think it was removed because it violates WP:ELNO #7: "Sites that are inaccessible to a substantial number of users, such as sites that only work with a specific browser or in a specific country." Most videos on Hulu are only assessable to users from the United States. —Farix (t | c) 16:57, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Characters page

I think that the character page needs to be reworked. I also discovered some of the full names of some characters (the Silvana mechanics have last names). I posted my idea in its discussion page. Adolon (talk) 23:06, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

I noticed this: ディーオ:野田順子 (Dio: Noda Junko) at the very bottom of the "about" page for Last Exile: Fam--has there been any indication that Dio will be a returning character in this sequel? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.111.235.79 (talk) 04:31, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Dio is in the cast list on the official Fam site. Shiroi Hane (talk) 18:01, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Last Exile 2

I need to find it again, but a few days ago I found a few articles on a second series of last exile being made, if I find the link, I believe it should be posted up here. What does everyone else think? shiroikiri99--Shiroikiri99 (talk) 02:56, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Edit: Ok, here's the link for one of the news articles: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-02-01/gonzo-lists-last-exile-fam-the-silver-wing-for-2011

It appears that it's going to be called Last Exile: The Silver Wing, as the tentative title. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shiroikiri99 (talkcontribs) 03:00, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

The official site has appeared: http://www.lastexile-fam.com Adolon (talk) 06:44, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

  • Madman Australia has released the first episode as free (legal/licensed) to stream online as of 18/10/2011

http://www.madman.com.au/videos/view/2762 - And has the english series title "Last Exile - Fam the Silverwing" and "Last Exile - Fam, The Silver Wing -"(fireryone) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.208.55.150 (talk) 10:36, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

Things I've noticed:

  • In Fam's bio, it has the word カルタッファル (karutaffaru) which is the Japanese spelling of the German word for potato: Kartoffel. I think Kartoffel is the place where she lives.
  • In the blurb about the story, the word ルスキニア (rusukinia) appears which is Japanese for Luscinia. There's also mention of the Grand Lake (グラン・レイク) which I imagine is similar or related to LE's Grand Stream (no chess anagram like before, sadly). I think Luscinia is another territory.
  • The new mechanical drawing is for a ship named Rasas (ラサス) and it is the flagship of the Kingdom of Turan. There's also something to do with a swan (白鳥).
  • Turan is based on Turan while I think Adesu in the Federation of Adesu stands for Hades. As proof, アデス is used in the anime Ulysses 31 for Hades. Adolon (talk) 22:14, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

Okay, update. Turns out I was wrong with Luscinia being a place. Instead, Luscinia is a person because of the mention in the cast credits. Now that Tatiana is in it, I wonder if the seqeul takes place not on Prester but on the Blue Star? Adolon (talk) 21:38, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Prester

I wonder if Prester should redirect here, seeing how it can also refer to Prester John. Thoughts? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 21:50, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

I would prefer it deleted as the name is very trivial because it only appears in extra material from the creators and not in the anime. It redirects here because there used to be an article about the planet entirely with original research. I have since userfied it at User:Arsonal/Prester. Arsonal (talk) 02:58, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
How about redirecting it to Prester John? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 16:28, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
I don't object to it, but I'm not sure if it's common to refer to Prester John simply as Prester. From what I can gather in the article, it seems to be somewhat of an honorific title? Arsonal (talk) 18:43, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Frankly; I am not sure - I was actually looking for the explanation of the term, and I thought it might be under Prester. I was quite surprised to find myself redirect to the article about an anime series :) --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 19:36, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Prester supposedly is the Middle English form of priest, so if it were to be redirected, that would be the appropriate target article. Arsonal (talk) 04:02, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Is it necessary to have a separate article for Last Exile: Fam, the Silver Wing?

As mention above, is it necessary to have another article when the Last Exile article is enough? Sliver Wing is a sequel to Last Exile and the settings, characters and themes are still the same. Your opinion.--FonFon Alseif (talk) 09:43, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

All of the content (save the info already in the episode & character articles) can and should be kept in this article, as a split would create a content fork of what's essentially the same series as you described. I left a note on the editor's talk page about it, too.-- 11:09, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

No longer a GA?

With the new anime series supposedly discussed here but in fact given only cursory treatment, this article seems confusing and incomplete. As far as I can tell, the new series for example is totally not covered in the reception. As such, unless this is remedied soon, I think this article needs a Good Article Review. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:15, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
