[edit]G'day, I have assessed this as B class on the assessment scale. If known, I wonder if the following points could be clarified: AustralianRupert (talk) 22:57, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
- what rank was Asprey in the Army?
- when did he discharge?
- when did he and his wife marry?
Thanks for your time. Regards, AustralianRupert (talk) 22:57, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
- Since the 60th anniversary was in 2004, they married in 1944. Margaret Asprey the younger tells me she'll ask her mom about the other questions. I don't know that we'd be able to find a published source however. Dicklyon (talk) 01:19, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
- Fortunately, There is a book on the subject Hawkeye7 (talk) 07:56, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
- Right, I forgot I had that (earlier edition, actually). Says married May 3, 1944. Sergeant. Released from the Army in Feb. 1946. First baby, Pete (the one centered in the garage door in the photo), arrived April 1945, when they were still in Hyde Park, Chicago. In Berkeley in 1946 (not clear what the move date was). - G'day, do you have page numbers and the year of publication/edition number? If so, we could add this information into the article. Thanks for digging this up. Cheers, AustralianRupert (talk) 05:09, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- No, I actually couldn't find mine so I got this info from the Amazon "look inside". Dicklyon (talk) 02:04, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
- I have added it. Hawkeye7 (talk) 03:54, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
