Lapping film is used by woodworkers to sharpen chisels and planes. Using a downward stroke, bevel down and repeated 20-30 times on progressively finer grits up to 30,000. A leather strop is then used to remove the burr. Authorized person (talk) 16:17, 2 April 2023 (UTC) [1] [2][reply]
