Removed the following dubious, unsupported claim:

The concept of sustainable timber managemen, as a renewable rescource, is the creation of W.D. Connor. It's the restraint by those who followed him that has made Laona, WI both the birth place of sustainablity and the epitome of the sustainable forest legacy.

Wiiliam D. Connor and Laona, Wisconsin

[edit]

On cleaning up the Laona, Wisconsin article, the expansion of the William D. Connor article should be considered since the 2 subjects are related. Thank you-RFD 14:00, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Contradiction

[edit]

"Laona claims the world's first school forest. The late H. L. Russell, Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, conceived the idea of school forests when he came upon them while traveling in Australia. "

I should think the contradiction is obvious. Either it was the world's first and his own idea or he saw it in Australia and recognized a good idea to bring home. It can't be both. And there are no sources in that section. This needs to either be properly sourced and clarified or removed altogether. Beeblebrox (talk) 17:32, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the section because there was no citations-thanks-RFD (talk) 20:21, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
