Language policy
[edit]I tend to think that the "Languages of ..." should have a section on Language policy / planning / management. Maybe I'm off on this, since I see little attempt to address this topic in other pages. --A12n 01:32, 18 October 2006 (UTC)jgfjkf[pll;pop][pok'[p;k';,'pk['pkp[

[edit]- Are there more speakers of French or of Arabic in Chad? Ethnologue doesn't say, and I cannot find a citation for this. Nicole Sharp (talk) 18:27, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
- Finally found one: http://ec.europa.eu/development/body/publications/courier/courier197/en/en_017.pdf (a very well-written article explaining language and education in Chad). Apparently, the most-spoken languages are 1) Chadian Arabic (unofficial), 2) French (official), and 3) Standard Arabic (official). Nicole Sharp (talk) 20:06, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
