In these edits, I added in the Section "Debates on Language Education". Here, I described Cultural, pragmatic, and cognitive debates associated with foreign language education. The statements surrounding the sentences "In adopting this practice of solely teaching English, we are unable to communicate with 80 percent of the world." are not founded in reality and show a massive PR China-centric bias that should not exist in this page. Simply because the US does not teach Mandarin to a level comparable to Spanish or French in secondary education does not mean that US persons cannot communicate with Mandarin speakers, who by and large at a professional level, speak English, but also by inferring that the raw number of people speaking the language somehow correlates to the economic benefit of learning it, gives this article a whiff of PRC propaganda. There is a strong economic benefit to learning English for foreign speakers, and the US is by and large a free market economy, and decisions of language availability at a secondary level exist at a local level. The idea being inferred in that of governmental control of language availability infers that the speaker is a PRC propogandist, knowingly or unknowingly, who wishes to present an idea, however transparently, that somehow Mandarin Chinese is as important to US Americans as speaking their native English to the detriment of other non-Mandarin foreign languages.
