[edit]There is nothing "strange" about Landnamabok. Records were kept of property ownership, servants, conflicts, etc in Medieval times in Europe. Today we keep records just like they kept in those distant times. By far I would omit the use of the word "strange" in the article, because there is nothing strange about it. Please remember that Landnamabok is not a novel, it is not a play, it is not a book you would read to entertain yourself.
However if it IS an accurate representation of contemporary settlement (and not just an invention of later centuries) then it is absolutely remarkable. There is nothing comparable in England until 1086. Strange is certainly no the correct word, but records like this are incredibly out of the ordinary for the early medieval context.Faust.TSFL (talk) 13:47, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
