[edit]- The article on the band may be classified as a stub at this point. I am new to Wikipedia, and am unsure about how else to say that the targeted article is a work-in-progress. (Folajimi 19:15, 22 December 2005 (UTC))
- Hi, Folajimi. What we need in this article is a blurb stating why they are notable. In other words, establish their importance. Reading the page, I don't see why they should be here. Hence the tag for a speedy delete. Does that make sense? --MisterHand 18:58, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
- Hi, MisterHand. Considering that this article on the band has been targeted for deletion, perhaps it could be classified as a stub at this point? I am new to Wikipedia, and am unsure about how else to say that the targeted article is a work-in-progress. There are certain angles which are planned for exploration in the future, including:
- 1. the presence of Mr. Peter Baumann from Tangerine Dream
- 2. exploration of rock bands with roots in the Mormon community, such as Low, which coincidentally was created at Brigham Young University at the same time when Landing's Aaron and Adrienne Snow attended the institution.
- FWIW, both Landing and Low have been around in some fashion for more than a decade now. Surely, there is more that could be explored on that matter. (Folajimi 19:05, 22 December 2005 (UTC))
- It looks like the article has been deleted mid-discussion. I suggest you re-create it, and include in the article the points you've made here. --MisterHand 19:08, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
- It seems like a third party did the deletion before I could get a word in edgewise. My hope is that the act was not malicious... Also, is it possible that I be notified via e-mail when a page on my watchlist is edited? (Folajimi 19:15, 22 December 2005 (UTC))
- I don't think the delete was malicious...just a matter of bad timing. At this time I don't think it's possible to get an email about changes to your watchlist...I could be wrong, but I can't find anything on the "preferences" page. It would be a nice feature. -- MisterHand 20:31, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
- Hi, I've just come across this page while cruising the new pages to put them on the AFD list. I'd just point out that having Peter Baumann in the band is enough to qualify this article under WP:MUSIC "Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise extremely notable", so just make sure his name is up on the page and we'll leave you in peace.
