[edit]- the article hasn't any neutral sources on capture of Lalatapa by Azeri forces. and the importance of lalatapa is also questionable. Lkahd (talk) 12:49, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
- please do not delete tags without further discussions here at talk. "Gulf Times" page is not found, and AFP official site writes only that "Azerbaijan's army claimed to have snatched control of several strategic locations inside Armenian-controlled territory".[1] Lkahd (talk) 19:35, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
- I can still access that Gulf Times page. As for AFP, that statement doesn't exclude the recapture Lalatapa. It could be among those strategic locations. Thus Stratfor's statement also confirms what Gulf Times wrote, until proven otherwise. Brandmeistertalk 21:12, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
Lkahd, I cited an article from L'Express for a reason. It says: "Un journaliste de l'AFP présent sur la colline de Lala-Tepe a toutefois pu constater que cette position était bien passée sous le contrôle des forces azerbaïdjanaises" which means "An AFP reporter who was present on the Lala-Tepe hill was nevertheless able to note that this position has been decisively placed under the control of Azerbaijani forces". Why is there a need in this the "neutrality" tag and the mention of "Hadrut region" when Armenian forces clearly ceded their position? Parishan (talk) 15:03, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]I propose that Lalatapa be merged into 2016 Armenian–Azerbaijani clashes. The Lalatapa has not enough notability and the only reliable source is related to the 2016 clashes. Most of the text is not confirmed by any reliable sources. The article's size is also too litle as no relable sources to cite. Lkahd (talk) 10:29, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- Neutral Normally, such geographic features deserve standalone articles, but in this case I found very little info. Perhaps there are more offline sources about it, such as undigitized paper publications. Brandmeistertalk 17:09, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- Merge because it has no notability or content beyond that derived from the 2016 Armenian–Azerbaijani clashes. Tiptoethrutheminefield (talk) 21:11, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- Merge no reliable evidence of notability. --Oatitonimly (talk) 03:33, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose: It seems to reach the criteria of WP:GEOLAND, notable for the 1994 Nagorno-Karabakh War as well as the 2016 Armenian–Azerbaijani clashes. Therefore, keeping the page separate seems to cleaner. Klbrain (talk) 17:23, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
