- Seems like this would be nice to include, if there were a proper tie-in. — Jacona (talk) 20:30, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- I agree. There is limited free access tied to email accounts-- can you access it? — Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 21:05, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- Actually, I just used an alternate email to get access. — Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 21:21, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- I just purchased The Cotton Plantation South Since the Civil War by Charles S Aiken so in a few days I'll have a hard copy of that. I've been trying to work on the John Hancock Academy article, which is also extensively covered in Dr Blair's master's thesis, and boy they make these Lakeview Academy people look downright nice. I would like to get access to the Sparta Ishmaelite but I can't find it at newspapers.com or anywhere else online. Do you know of a way to get it? — Jacona (talk) 21:47, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- self correctio: found it at newspaperarchive.com — Jacona (talk) 21:53, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- Good to know. — Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 22:39, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- According to the Library of Congress, Sparta Ishmaelite (1899-2020) is only available on microfilm at University of Georgia Libraries. There's a note in the LOC file note: "Appears to have merged with: The Sandersville Georgian Inc. to form: The Sandersville Georgian Inc. including The Sparta Ishmaelite." — Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 22:36, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
