Notability

[edit]

Somewhat ludicrously (in my opinion), this article was tagged for notability and the editor who did so, when I asked them why, simply said to discuss here. Since they demonstrate a high handed lack of interest in even taking a few moments to explain their reasoning for tagging a page for notability that had, in my view, sufficient reliable references spanning a significant period of time, I will just say to glance through her Google Books hits and see the dozens of significant mentions in books on knitwear and fashion history, plus - not appropriate for the article - a significant number of namechecks in popular novels from the last 20 years. What these namechecks do demonstrate is that the designer has name recognition and is a known luxury brand/designer. See: Sheila O'Flanagan [1], Kate Thompson [2], Cathy Kelly [3][4], Sarah Webb [5][6], Anita Notaro [7] - and not just "chick lit", she's even namechecked in The Oh My God Delusion by Paul Howard [8]. So, all I have to say is - Not notable? Really? Mabalu (talk) 04:13, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
