Is a worldwide approach still possible?
[edit]Can the person who has placed the template demanding worldwide coverage please check whether Australian, Canadian and New Zealand unions still affiliate to their Labour Party (or the New Democratic Party)? If not, this is a hypocritical demand: Since "affiliated trade unions" may be just a remnant of the party building process in the U.K. there cannot be a worldwide approach to some British "uniqueness"! As far as I know the Swedish trade unions have terminated their affiliation to Socialdemokraterna (what is the situation in Norway, Denmark and Finland?). The German, the Dutch and the Austrian trade unions were never affiliated. The same applies to U.S. trade unions. Khnassmacher (talk) 06:57, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
- Apparently the Irish and NZ labour parties have affiliated unions.86.186.40.189 (talk) 23:17, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
