OMEGA
[edit]Should the laser system be spun off into a separate article? I mean, is there a sound practice involving that?
- I'm not sure. I don't think so at this point, its just a single sentance. Typically separate articles are spun off of very large articles.--Deglr6328 06:12, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
neutron yield
[edit]The maximum fusion yield of OMEGA so far is about 1014 neutrons per shot (first achieved in 1995), and it thus holds the record for highest neutron yield of any inertial confinement fusion device to date.
This is no longer the case, as the NIF has created a reaction about 3 times as large https://www.llnl.gov/news/newsreleases/2010/Nov/NR-10-11-02.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.189.185.250 (talk) 18:37, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
