Wiki - copyrights

[edit]

Excuseme, i think that www.wikiarquitectura.com have a wiki open copyright license. I put the reference in the wikipedia article.--Pruxo (talk) 12:00, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think not; see clause 4. This does not mean the page cannot be cited, but to copy it directly is not allowed under that licensing. Because it appears under "privacy policy" instead of under "terms of use" does not relieve us of responsibility to respect it.  Frank  |  talk  12:45, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please see WP:Copyrights#Contributors' rights and obligations. Material should not be copied from another website unless that web-site explicitly states that its material is released under the GFDL. Wikiarquitectura.com does not. JohnCD (talk) 12:07, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
They undoubtedly have copyright for the text in Spanish (and this issue has now been rectified). But how can they possibly have the copyrights to the architectual sketches and layout plans. Is there any precedent for using such material on Wiki? Power.corrupts (talk) 10:47, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Somebody would surely have copyright on the drawings, presumably the architect? JohnCD (talk) 11:26, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Precision: I'm talking of the plot plans here] - low resolution stuff - just to be more specific Power.corrupts (talk) 11:55, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Spanish

[edit]

Pruxo, could you take a look at my deliberations of what "Tumbona" may mean in Spanish, and what the architect may have thought of giving that name. Specifically, if it may refer to a beach shade, which is fact-marked, because I was unsure. Power.corrupts (talk) 10:23, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
