Hey Daniella,

I agree with a lot of what Emily said earlier in her post -- I think your article is looking really good so far, and I just have a few small suggestions. First, give another read through each section to proofread and catch typos and grammatical errors, and second, in the Prologue and Argumento section, I might add subheadings to denote First Prologue, Second Prologue, and Argumento. Right now, it's a lot of great info, but it's a huge block of text; breaking it up with subheadings might help the reader to digest each piece a little better.

Overall, I really think you'll hit all the areas you need, and it's going to be a great article! Jaynakatz (talk) 04:35, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Daniella!

Firstly, thank you for all of the fantastic background information on the play that our history class just has the pleasure of reading. I have a few suggestions of how to improve the clarity and quality of the article, and well as clean up some of the grammatical errors that can be hard to catch when we have spent so much time looking at our own work.

Firstly, I have a very clear idea of the characters, the various prologues, and the plot of the play. The excerpt directly from the source about the staging is very interesting and engaging. I also liked the character breakdown and the different subsections. I have a clear understanding from their titles what I should be gleaning from each section.

As far as applying changes to the article, I would encourage you to give a little more insight in the lead paragraph that gives a better idea of the play. As is stands, the lead paragraph states the facts, but I think a little bit more information about the play itself would be useful here for readers. Check out the wiki page for featured plays to see their lead section. Also, I think there are more opportunities for wiki-links within the article. Do pages exist, for example, for the Italian Renaissance, Bibbeina, argument" or Castiglione? These could help give more context to what what happening in the world when this was written.

Another edit that could improve the clarity of the article is simply combing through each paragraph to catch the grammatical errors such comma use, fragments, repetition, and sentences can restructured to more succinctly express the thought.

Also, this is a familiar plot. Perhaps, if you were interested in another subsection, you could discuss plays that influenced the author's writing, or plays that came afterwards that La Calandria may have influenced.

You have a lot of content and good sources! I like the way you listed the characters, and will use that inspiration when compiling my list of Lazzi.
