The article remarks that, "The format had only one application: to publish documentary video, children's writings, and other historical records compiled from 1984 to 1986 for the BBC Domesday Project." Although the format was developed for this one application, other laserdiscs were released for educational purposes, not only from the BBC but from other organisations. In addition, the system appears to have been adopted by various companies for training purposes. Certainly, it is plainly untrue to claim that LV-ROM was a single-application technology given the available evidence. See the BBC Domesday Project page for more historical information.
