CS Mureșul Deva into LPS Cetate Deva. There are two competing articles about this subject (the football team based in Deva, Romania). Mureșul Deva was established in 1921 and had over time various other names such as Corvinul Deva, Minerul Deva, Explorari Deva. In the summer of 1992, Mureșul Deva withdrew from the third tier (Liga III) and started to play only at amateur level, until 1994, when the newly promoted club Vega Caransebeș merged with Mureșul Deva and enrolled in the third tier as Vega Deva, but continuing the football legacy of Deva. In 1999 the club was renamed, this time as Cetate Deva, in 2001 again as Mureșul Deva and in the summer of 2002 merged with the newly promoted club CS Certej, CS Certej was absorbed and Mureșul Deva continued as CS Deva. In 2006 the club is renamed as CS Mureșul Deva, but was not re-founded, it was just renamed, then in 2012 it was dissolved, but re-founded again in 2013, as Cetate Deva. Deva is a small town in Romania and Muresul/Cetate (and the other names) was the only team ever. Cetate is the succesor of Muresul. I propose a single article on LPS Cetate Deva page, in which to expand the history, but with four foundation years (1921 as Muresul Deva, 1994 as Vega Deva, 2002 as CS Deva and 2013 as Cetate Deva). Support I agree with the merger between the two teams. So we have a continuity for a small team of a small town for those who visit wikipedia for the first time in search of the history of football in the city of Deva. Mario Silvas (talk)

Support I agree with the reasoning of, after the page move, keeping the foundation years and the corresponding denomination(s). --Quite A Character (talk) 03:21, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Support I agree with the merger. Such transformations are common in Romanian football, especially at a lower level. The team is perceived as being the same by the football authorities and the public, and it would be better to have the entire history in a single article. Especially since the foundation years will be included.mihai.zamfir30 12:50, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
