Pilot Solar Project
[edit]A partnership including EcoAlbania, River Watch, and Euronatur raised money for a solar pilot project to demonstrate that this region did not need to rely on hydropower that would endanger the ecosystem of the Vjosa river, but could generate energy using photovoltaic solar power. Panels were installed on some of the village's buildings and power the buildings as well as street lighting.
While I found out about this project via YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyRWyeZU9TM , the buildings and their solar panels can be seen from satellite photos as well.
I apologize I am not an experienced Wikipedia editor so I just leave this as a suggestion on the Talk page. ~~ Spidra (talk) 08:15, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
