Death date

[edit]

I am a Catalan Wikipedia editor, and I search about the date of his death, and in the English Wikipedia said 17th September, but Deutch Wikipedia said 18th September. And in the media also is a mixing dates--Pdg7 (talk) 15:23, 18 September 2011 (UTC).[reply]

The death date seems to be wrong here: It is 18 september 2011 for DPA. The DPA news has the information by the son of Kurt Sanderling: Stefan. The death date needs to be corrected here.
And Norman Lebrecht says quite clearly he died 17 September, "two days before" his birthday. Whom are we to believe? And why? -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 09:47, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Further, the Telegraph says he died "17 September, two days before his 99th birthday". -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 19:21, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Your newspapers are foolishly wrong. EVERY German news artikel mentions that he died on sunday morning (18 September). Google news (in German) might enlighten you!--91.39.45.153 (talk) 19:09, 20 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
And I note that NOT ONE SINGLE GERMAN SOURCE showing his death date appears in the German article. It's just asserted that he died 18 September. Why would that be? At the end of the day, we have some sources saying X and some sources saying Y. You believe that X is correct and claim that Y is "foolishly wrong". How do you know X is correct? Were you there at his bedside when he died? -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 04:46, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
