His religion, clan, etc. have been covered in reliable sources – e.g. see here – but I couldn't find self-identification from him, which is needed in BLPs (see here for details). So I will remove these details for now. Thanks. - NitinMlk (talk) 17:18, 21 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
utcursch, this BLP mainly revolves around the Operation Blue Star. Maybe he mainly got coverage relating to that event. So, irrespective of relevance of religion in his life & career, it is relevant to the present version of the article. Anyway, I was just concerned about the self-identification part, and don't have any issue now. In fact, I guess he even identified as a Jat Sikh – [1].
On a different note, MOS:SURNAME states that after the initial mention, a person should generally be referred to by surname only, and that's why I replaced K S Brar with Brar in this edit. Normally, after mentioning full name in the lead's first sentence, the remaining article just contains the person's surname. But you reinstated K S Brar with this edit. Was there any specific reason for that? - NitinMlk (talk) 17:37, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
