I'm here to review this article after finishing sand tiger shark. I will go through section by section, although it may take a while due to my reviewing of higgs boson at the same time. StringTheory11 03:26, 1 January 2012 (UTC) GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

General + Lead
[edit]- Some of the image captions need work. For example, the picture of shrimp should say that they are shrimp, not just the main food source. A caption like "Shrimp, the bluespotted stingray's main food source" should work nicely. The killer whale image caption could be formatted the same way.
- Image captions should not have the location taken.
- I would add some info on its diet to the lead; just stating its main food sources should be enough. I would also add some information on its habitat and predators, and possibly note that it seems to get many parasites.
These are the only general problems. I will go section by section, starting with Taxonomy tomorrow. StringTheory11 02:30, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
- I have fixed these. Are the new captions better? Also, the image in the general description... I am having some minor dificulties. It was put up for speedy deletion. And this is my first article so I was unaware on how to go about obtaining the full copyright information. This problem will be resolved in a matter of days. - Yes, the new captions are much better. You may want to ask someone else about images; I know little about the process. StringTheory11 20:05, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

Taxonomy
[edit]What does its scientific name mean?. Done, it is the genus and then the creator. Is that more what you were looking for? Stanfordbound 14 (talk) 21:57, 8 January 2012 (UTC)I would link familial (to family), genera (to genus), and species.

Description and behavior
[edit]- <No problems in the lead of this section! Awesome, thank you!
StringTheory11 20:05, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
Diet
[edit]- Information about teeth is incorrect. The teeth are not plate-like . They have very small pointed teeth in males and more dull version in females. i have photos of the teeth.

Reproduction
[edit]Second and third sentences should be combined into one.
StringTheory11 20:05, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
Habitat
[edit]Constantly saying "the bluespotted stingray ____" seems wordy. I would rearrange stuff so you don't have to do this.I would link "coral reefs"

These are all the problems for these sections. I will do some more tomorrow. StringTheory11 20:05, 8 January 2012 (UTC) Okay! Regards, Stanfordbound 14 (talk) 21:57, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
