Single-line article -- reverting to redirect
[edit]Dismic you deleted this page before I could save my changes, I saved them anyway since I didn't want to discard this. Please let me know why you keep reverting to the redirection? I agree that this page is a draft but is it really worth dropping it altogether? The redirection to Cgroups is anything but helpful...
Kubernetes does non-obvious things and it took me a while to understand the relation it had to Docker (if any). I think this article is helpful and warranted, since Kubernetes has hit 1.0 and is becoming commonplace. Let me know. --Remram44 (talk) 20:56, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- Hello! Having single-line articles doesn't make much sense, purely from the usability standpoint. However, I wasn't aware that you are still working on the article, which I apologize for. As a note, placing the {{Under construction}} hatnote is very useful in such cases. Speaking about the current state of the article, we should provide more references to satisfy the WP:NOTE guideline. — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 21:12, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- The more you know... I'll add the template right away and gather more info for the article and refs. --Remram44 (talk) 21:25, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
Missing pronuntiation
[edit]I tried to do the following change in hopes of some native English speaker would complete. Unfortunately, CorpernicusAD reverted every attempt I did. I think is very small but constructive improvement to the article.
Thanks you!

Re:Talk:Kubernetes
[edit]@Musikolo: All right. Here is the problem:
- Though Your edits are in good faith, there are unsourced.
- Please provide a substantial source, and your edit would be viable.
- Remember NOR - WP:NOR.
Thanks CopernicusAD (u) (t) :) 19:06, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- I added pronunciation from the unsourced wiktionary:Kubernetes --Error (talk) 17:47, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
(Copyedit; request non-primary source - IBM Cloud Private)
[edit]@Intgr:
Hi I was just wondering how to add a non-primary source. I have been reviewing articles but I am still not sure of the process.
Should I use links like one of these, in place of the IBM website? Or is there a way/process to submit sources for review somewhere? https://techcrunch.com/2017/10/31/ibm-cloud-private-brings-cloud-native-computing-to-your-data-center/?ncid=rss https://sdtimes.com/ibm-announces-new-platform-bring-cloud-native-capabilities-private-cloud/ http://www.zdnet.com/article/ibm-cloud-private-launches-with-bet-open-architecture-wins-hybrid-cloud-scrum/
Thanks

- @ShawniqueW: Hi. Yes, just edit the page and add/replace the sources as citations/references as usual. If you're still unsure about something, WP:CITE may be useful too. -- intgr [talk] 19:46, 2 November 2017 (UTC)

Update request to Kubernetes logo
[edit]As the title reads, the Kubernetes logo is off by a few pixels (one of the hands on the wheel is broken). I tried uploading the correct image but my account is fresh, as such I can't make those changes.
If somebody more senior could make the change, I would be happy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mkettu (talk • contribs) 10:33, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
DC/OS is based on Mesos, not K8s...
[edit]"Mesosphere for its DC/OS product" is included as using K8s.

Information on significant partners, vendors and products should be based on independent sources, not on routine self-published announcements. If no independent media cared to report about it, it doesn't belong here (with some leeway regarding uncontroversial basic information about the product itself, see WP:SPS). External links
[edit]@Sacreman: added an external link that isn't authoritative; While looking at it, I noticed that the link above it is also more of the same. I'm planning to remove those two links under the grounds of WP:NOTDIRECTORY unless folks come up with a good reason to keep them. A really paranoid android (talk) (12:18, 26 December 2018)
Spring Cloud
[edit]I consider the comparison with Spring Cloud rather off topic. Spring Cloud is concerned with developing distributed Java applications whereas Kubernetes is a containerization solution. I propose to delete this section. Any other opinions? Thatdepends (talk) 13:06, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Thatdepends: The reason I added the comparison to Spring Cloud is that when it comes to microservices platforms, there pretty much are two options: Spring Cloud and Kubernetes. Yes, there are other smaller frameworks that support the realization of microservice concerns, but these two are the dominant frameworks. So, I consider this very much on topic. Its got nothing to do with the way that Kubernetes does its work (via containerization), but what kind of work it supports (microservice architectures. A really paranoid android (talk) 18:51, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Marvin The Paranoid: I think the link to microservices as an architecture pattern that is supported by Kubernetes is valid. The discussion of Spring Cloud would be better placed on the microservices page, though. Spring Cloud is not properly mentioned on that page. Thatdepends (talk) 08:36, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
- Fair enough. That makes sense. A really paranoid android (talk) 01:18, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

Logo license
[edit]According to https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/blob/master/logo/LICENSE, the logo is licensed under either Apache-2.0 or CC-BY-4.0. Should this allow the full logo to be used, rather than the shrunken one that's currently on the page? -- Hongooi (talk) 02:56, 28 May 2019 (UTC)
Need update to persistence section
[edit]It looks to me like the section on persistence is several years out of date. It should highlight the introduction of CSI for extending persistence.
Resources include

This probably implies that we need a CSI page as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TedDunning (talk • contribs) 16:18, 12 November 2020 (UTC)

Speaking of deployment controller before controllers are mentioned
[edit]At api server intro it says “If the Deployment Controller finds that only two instances are running”, but controllers are mentioned later on as separate term 130.43.6.146 (talk) 11:53, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
